An ideal site for bird watching and photography, this sanctuary has a
huge marshland and shallow lake bordered with mixed dry forest. The avian
population of the sanctuary comprises among others the pochard, shoveller,
woodpecker, parakeet, coot, purple moorhen and common teal.
WILD POPULATION
Nawab ganj sanctuary is rich in avian population. It has a good number of
avian population including pochard, shoveller, woodpecker, parakeet, coot,
purple moorhen and common teal.
HOW TO GET THERE
Air: The nearest airport is Lucknow, 45 kms approx.
Rail: The nearest realhead is at Lucknow.
Road: The sanctuary is located on National Highway No. 25, 45 kms
both from Lucknow and Kanpur. Nawabganj is well connected by bus to
Lucknow and Kanpur.
