The picturesque blue, eye - like shaped Naini Lake is located in the district of Nainital. Other attractions include Dorothy's seat, Land's End and Naina Peak. Roop Kund is another lake, which lies in the lap of Mount Trishul. Situated at a height of 5029 m, the lake is the destination of the Raj Jat Yatra, a pilgrimage from the village of Nauti, led by a ram. Roop Kund is also a famous trekking destination. Move towards Bhim Taal 22 kms. from Nainital, the lake has an island 91.4 meters away from the shore. The state has other spectacular lakes also such as Kedar Taal, Nachiketa Taal and Radha Kund All these lakes provide with an immense opportunity to the traveler for trekking, boating and sightseeing.
