Project. Barrage and dams are constructed on the Kapli River along 19-km
area from Umrangshu to Hot Spring. A Lake has already come up over here.

HOW TO GET THERE
Road:
ASTC buses ply from Umrangshu in the morning and at noontime to Haflong,
taking approximately 4 hrs to reach. Buses also ply from Umrangshu in
morning and evening to Shillong via Jowai, as well as to Jowai.
WHERE TO STAY
From Haflong via Jowai to Shillong, a night halt at
Umrangshu becomes a must. Accommodation is available in the various hotels
and tourist lodges in Umrangshu.
